Dr.M.V.Pillai

AKMG past president Dr.M.V.Pillai serves as a senior advisor to the recently launched Institute of Advanced Virology located at the Bio 360 Life Sciences Park, Thonnakkal, Trivandrum. Dr.Shyamasundaran Kottilil from Maryland serves as a member of the research council of the Institute of Advanced Virology. Dr. Vimoj Nair, radiation oncologist working in Ottawa is part of a virtual reality project aimed to boost innovation in medical education. https://www.tohmedphys.ca/realizeLAB/ realizeLAB is a medical virtual reality lab located in Ottawa, Canada, and associated with The Ottawa Hospital and Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. Research initiatives within the lab are primarily centered around an integrated virtual reality (VR) platform for creating, visualizing, and interacting with 3D anaomical models, as well as for supporting novel approaches to communication, education and training in radiology and medicine. The work of our lab largely involves the clinical evaluation and implementation of advanced visualization and communication solutions for radiology, surgery, and radiation therapy with the broad goal of facilitating the improved union of virtual patient information with real-world patient care.
