We are happy to share information about a new book on spinal surgery published by neurosurgeon Dr. Sunil Manjila. Dr. Manjila has co-edited "Lumbar Interbody Fusion (Elsivier UK, an exclusive text book on lumbar interbody fusions, explaining the nuances In techniques of both open and minimally invasive spinal procedures. Dr. Sunil Manjila is a clinical neurosurgeon, published researcher and a physician entrepreneur with dual residency training in neurosurgery at CMC, Vellore and CWRU,Cleveland. He also completed an enfolded fellowship in neuroradiology and has over 100 Pubmed -indexed academic publications. Dr. Manjila was the former Chief of neurosurgery and Chairman of Neurosciences at McLaren Bay Region in Michigan. Dr. Manjila also is the cofounder of MASIT, Manjila and Singh InnoTech Pvt. Ltd ( India) and Taurean Surgical Inc (USA) specialized in surgical robotics. Dr. Manjila also serves on the advisory board of many companies and organizations.

AKMG CME REPORT TO GENERAL BODY 8/14/2021

Like every organization in the world, AKMG also had to rethink how best to continue to serve its members during the COVID pandemic. Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Bhatt and other senior leaders of AKMG, the pandemic has counter-intuitively strengthened our organization. While the response to COVID-19 from many bigger organizations has been ambivalent, uneven, and chaotic – AKMG have taken the challenge and made the organization better and stronger, with one of the largest increases in membership during these uncertain times. As a free service to its members AKMG decided to have an online CME session every quarter to continue to keep the momentum and members engaged with organizational activities. AKMG has always been blessed to have doctors who have excelled in clinical, educational, research, and business sides of Medicine.
