It was a real pleasure for Akmg Georgia chapter to present a check for $4037 to the Atlanta Food Bank today. Many Thanks to all our generous donors who made this possible. We hope to have more participation next year and years to come. It was not a huge amount but when you think this amount will feed a meal for over 16000 less fortunate people, it makes us feel good as part of our community. Thank you AKMG. When people ask what it is like to be a woman in interventional electrophysiology, I tell them the truth: for most of my career, I was the only one at the table. Not the only woman in the EP lab; nurses, techs, and coordinators have always been the backbone of every EP lab I have worked in, but the only woman standing in lead, with the catheters in her hands.
