AKMG Kerala Piravi celebration, Nov 2, 2025: President's message

Dear AKMG Family,
Apologies for the long post, but I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in and joined our Virtual Kerala Piravi Celebration last night. It was a wonderful evening, and I’m delighted to share that we had 98 participants at the highest point — a true testament to our vibrant and supportive AKMG community!
A special thank you to our dynamic co-chairs, Dr.Manju Nayar and Dr.Jincy Clement of the Entertainment Committee, for their outstanding leadership and creativity in organizing such a memorable event. From the inspiring guest speakers Dr. Hari Parameswaran, K. Jayakumar IAS and Dr. Venugopal Menon who shared thoughtful messages, to the Ottamthullal by Sri. Ambalapuzha Suresh Varma accompanied by artist Sri. Cherthala Krishnakumar, singer Sri. Ambalapuzha Ratheesh Kumar Achary, and mridangam artist Sri.Kalamandalam Vinod Kumar Achary, the soulful singing by our own talented members Dr. Raji Menon, Dr. Aparna Das and Dr. Anupam Kumar, Dr.Chino’s graceful folk dance, and the captivating Veena ensemble by Smt. Nirmala Rajasekar, every element beautifully captured the essence of Kerala. Heartfelt thanks also to Dr.Rekha Menon for bringing in Madhu Pillai to manage the AV, Sri. Ratheesh Nair for coordinating artists from Kerala and to Preetha for her invaluable help behind the scenes. Thank you, Dr.Nisha Nigil, for capturing those wonderful moments through your lens. Until our next big gathering — the AKMG Convention in New Jersey — please stay tuned for more virtual programs designed for your enjoyment and educational enrichment.

Every item was entertaining, educational and enjoyable. Jayakumar was the best possible one to have addressed the crowd. But to top it all, your charismatic and warm MCing made the most difference.
